Bud's is the kind of place people write reviews about on the way out of town: a couple from Australia buying cars to ship home got a vibration checked and balanced on the spot; Route 66 travelers with a bolt in the tire were patched and gone in minutes; a referral from another shop walked in without notice and was back on the road before he sat down. Mike, the owner, gets the credit for the patience — swapping tires until an aftermarket wheel finally fit right. The race-car photos on the counter are not decoration; the shop still stocks American Racer tires and Bassett wheels for the dirt tracks.
